The following is information that has been provided by BOMA/Chicago:
TIME
10 a.m. step off for the Parade. The rally is expected to begin at approximately 11:15 a.m.
LOCATION
The parade will run on Monroe Street from Jefferson Street to Michigan Avenue. The rally will be held at Soldier Field.
Update: The parade will begin at Washington Boulevard at Racine Avenue. It will head East on Washington Boulevard to Desplaines Street. From there the parade will continue South on Desplaines Street to Monroe Street.
STREET CLOSURES
Expect closures on Monroe Street from Halsted to Lake Shore Drive to begin as early as 8 a.m.Thursday. Closures will also include cross streets one block north and south of Monroe. After the procession passes, the Chicago Police Department and Office of Emergency Management and Communication (OEMC) will open Monroe when it is safe to do so.
Update: The following closures will begin at 8am tomorrow:
-Washington Street from Racine Street to DesPlaines Avenue
-DesPlaines Avenue to Monroe Street
ATTENDANCE ESTIMATE
The parade is expected to draw a significant crowd along the entire route. Tickets to the rally are free, however, ticket “sales” began at noon today and currently no of number of tickets sold is available.
TRANSPORTATION
Please click here for information from the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) regarding route additions and changes. Metra will be offering $5 unlimited rides all day tomorrow. No bicycles or alcohol will be allowed on trains.
REQUESTS
The City is asking that Private Sector facilities monitor security cameras closely, both on the route and on main access routes.
