The U.S. Secret Service has issued an RFP to hire 1 firm to outsource all physical security needed during the NATO summit. The items included in the RFP are 3 miles of concrete barriers, up to 25,000 feet of 8-foot-high fencing as well as vehicle crash barriers, light towers, portable toilets, and sand bags.
The RFP was issued on April 10th and bids are due on April 24th. All personnel who will provide the work must be U.S. citizens and pass background checks by the U.S. Secret Service. As of April 13th, 4 firms had expressed interest in bidding on the contract.
