As you are most likely aware, the Chicago Police Department will soon be releasing the dashboard video involving the 2014 Chicago Police shooting of Laquan McDonald. It is anticipated that the release of the video will result in protests. At this time it is not known when or where this type of activity may occur.
As a precaution and in preparation for possible protests, consider clicking here to use the Demonstration Building Security Preparedness checklist to assist you in evaluating and preparing your property. It was created as a guideline for conducting a physical risk assessment and point of dialogue with your team and security vendor.
Also additional resources from BOMA/Chicago include an alert regarding the possible protest activity as well as a best practices guide for civil unrest/disturbances/protests. Please click here to view the alert and click here for the best practice guide.
If you should have any questions regarding this preparedness checklist, please feel free to contact your Titan representative.
