In response to the violent protests last night, the City has suspended CTA trains and buses from coming in and out of the Loop and implemented a lock down of the Loop and surrounding areas as follows:
- Division Street from Lake Shore Drive and North Halsted Street
- North Halsted from Division to Milwaukee Avenue and Grand Avenue
- Milwaukee Avenue from Grand Avenue to Kinzie Street
- Canal Street from Kinzie Street to 26th Street
- 26th Street from Canal Street to Lake Shore Drive
A curfew also remains in effect for the City of Chicago from 9:00 pm until 6:00 am.
Security staff carrying their Titan identification and PERC card issued by the State of IL, which indicates they are licensed security guards, will be allowed to travel to and from work during the curfew. Access points are as follows:
- LaSalle from the North
- Chicago Ave from the West
- State St from the South
The safety of Titan’s employees, as well as the safety of our clients, remains Titan’s top priority. Titan staff members are being asked to provide extra time for commuting to and from work and to be prepared to work additional hours or shifts.
However, these measures are significantly impacting security operations across the City of Chicago. Review the Building Security Preparedness Checklist (link below) and consider having management or engineering resources on hand to support building operations.
Titan’s 24/7 Security Operation Center can be contacted at 312.902.3400. For life-threatening emergencies, call 911. To report suspicious activity, call 855-RPRT-2-S4 (855-777-8274).
