The City of Chicago Aldermen met January 18, 2012 to discuss Mayor Emanuel’s proposed changes. The Aldermen voted to approve the new parade rules of a 2 hour time limit. In addition to approving the parade time limit, the Aldermen also approved to provide Mayor Emanuel with blanket spending power, opening public beaches and parks at 6:00am instead of 4:00am, and that loud noise, amplified sound and music will only be allowed between the hours of 8:00am and 10:00pm.
