In recent months and years, schools have been working to enhance their security plans and systems. The American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) has recognized this trend and provides funds directed to support necessary enhancements to school security annually. The winning school for ASIS Foundation’s School Security Funding Competition is a school located in the city where ASIS International Annual Seminar and Exhibits is hosted.
This year the ASIS International Seminar and Exhibits is hosted in Chicago. It was recently announced that Spencer Technology Academy has been named the winner of the ASIS Foundation’s 2013 School Security Funding Competition. The funding for the security upgrades is provided half by ASIS International and half by organizations in the ASIS Chicago Chapter. Titan Security is proud to have helped provide funding to this years winner.
Spencer Technology Academy will be using the funding to upgrade their current security cameras to be a deterrent as well as provide a way for staff to monitor the children.
Congratulations to Spencer Technology Academy for winning this year’s competition!
