CFD
The presentation by the CFD mobile response team (MMRT) noted that there are currently 14 paramedic bikes in the unit and response times are generally faster within the Central Business District (the Chicago Loop) than with full-size trucks.

Chicago Public-Private Task Force
The Chicago Public-Private Task Force (CPPTF) noted that “See something, Say something” continues to be emphasized, as emergency operations center (EOC), and threat and hazard identification and risk assessments (THIRA) projects are advancing within the city.
Department of Homeland Security
It was noted by the Department of Homeland Security that homegrown violent extremists (HVEs) continue to be a threat and have been difficult to track or predict.

Due to a recent fatal accident, security directors have been urged to start securing rooftop balconies, and be prepared to secure the doors and surrounding perimeters in the event of civil unrest.
