As we are all aware, terrorism in Europe and the United States is on the rise. ISIL and other terrorist organizations are openly encouraging attacks during the holiday season. Terrorists have adapted and changed their methods of attack as the U.S. has responded to prevent large terrorism attacks. We now see radicalized individuals, using low tech means, to inflict injury on individuals in unsuspecting or “soft” environments. Such attacks can be planned and prepared by one individual, with little or no exposure to law enforcement.
It is important that we all stay vigilant during this holiday season. Suspicious behavior or actions should be noted and reported. We have all heard the phrase “See something, say something”. It still applies today as much as ever. Yesterday, a high ranking law enforcement officer said that phrase a little differently – “See something, say something IMMEDIATELY”. Please exercise extra attention during the holiday season and inform Titan’s Security Operation Center at 312.902.3400 or the City of Chicago’s OEMC at 855.777.8274 of any suspicious activity or behavior you may observe. Sometimes the pieces of the puzzle can be put together before it’s too late.
